WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF LENT

Lent means ‘spring.’ It is the 40-day period of preparation, during which Christians enter into a time of self-examination and repentance and prepare for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. We focus on the life and ministry of Christ, especially his last days in Jerusalem (Holy Week).
The liturgical colour is purple, symbolising royalty and penitence.

8 March – For Surrender:
“Oh Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Help me put my trust not in horses nor chariots, but to look to You, the Pioneer and Perfector of our faith. Amen.”

MISSIONS TRIP #1/2026

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming 4-Day Missions Trip to Thailand!

• Duration: 4 Days (29 May – 1 Jun 2026)
• Destination: Song-Roi Phee Methodist Church (Thailand)
• Open to: all age groups & first-timers
• Training: will be provided
• Cost: S$400/pax (includes return airfare, local hotel, local transportation, team meals & travel insurance).

This trip is open to all – youths, young adults, families, the young ones and the young-at-heart, including first-timers. Whether you have been on missions before or this might be your first step, we warmly invite you to prayerfully consider joining.
Thailand is near to us geographically, but the spiritual needs are great. In just four days, we will have the opportunity to serve, encourage, pray, and be a blessing to the community and ministry partners.

This year, we are also inviting each small group to prayerfully send at least one representative. For when one goes physically, the whole group goes… spiritually through prayer, support, and encouragement.
You do not need to be a preacher or experienced tripper. Training and guidance will be provided, and we will go as one united team. What God looks for is a willing heart.

Fund Raising Comm – $2 A Day Intro
We are encouraging every member to start saving to help our Lease Renewal due in about six years time. We encourage you to try saving $2 a day every year, and if you need help, we have piggy banks for you, that you can bring home to use. If you don’t need the piggy banks, then leave them for others who need them! Once you have saved up the amount, each year, you can bring it to church –
A. Mark it in an envelope for ‘Church Building Fund’ and drop it in our offering bag.
B. Use our Lease Renewal QR code found on our website or notice boards or lift, and PayNow the amount to our ‘Church Building Fund’.
Exodus 35:21 tells us the people brought their gifts as God stirred their hearts to do so. Let’s bring our gifts before the Lord and help our Church renew its lease.”

5. Indicate if food is being served (if room booking)

Thank you for making a floral offering donation. Please note that, as it is not always possible to utilize the exact sum for a particular week’s floral arrangements, the leftover amounts will be utilized for the subsequent week’s floral arrangements.
