Hi there, I am David!
Co-ordinator for Care Group Ministry
At LHMC, we believe that true discipleship involves both receiving and extending God’s love. Just as we have been lavished with care and compassion by Jesus Christ, we are called to pour that same love into the lives of others within our community of faith. This is the heart of our Care Groups.
Care Groups are small groups that meet regularly to provide support, encouragement, and accountability in our faith journey.
Why Care Groups?
• Holistic Care: We care for each other’s physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, supporting one another through life’s joys and challenges.
• Sharing God’s Love: As we receive care and love from Jesus, we are called to share that with others within our community of faith
• Accountable Discipleship: We encourage and challenge each other to grow in our faith, sharing how God is working in our lives throughout the week.
• Mutual Ministry: The small group setting empowers every member to minister to and care for one another, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and ownership within the group.
• Genuine Connection: The close-knit setting of our Care Groups fosters honest and transparent conversations, allowing us to support and spur each other on in our walk with God
• Living Out Our Mission: Care Groups provide a space to live out our mission statement: With Every Life in His S.T.O.R.Y.
o Social: Doing life together
o Transformation: Applying God’s Word to our lives
o Outreach: Building bridges that lead others to Christ
o Reverence: Worshipping God daily
o Yielding: Stewards of all we have for God’s Kingdom
